Job summary

JT4, LLC, based in the United States, is seeking a Programmer I for its DoD-related program.

Responsibilities include designing, coding, testing, and documenting software, plus assisting with users and manuals. Candidates must have an Associate's degree in Computer Programming or related training and be eligible for a government security clearance.

Qualifications

• Must possess some planning and organizing skills and demonstrate the ability to work under deadlines.
• Verbal and written communication skills sufficient to permit interaction with other employees and take work direction from senior personnel.
• Must qualify for and maintain a government security clearance.
• Must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Prepares flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate a sequence of steps that a program must follow and to describe logical operations involved.
• Converts project specifications into a sequence of detailed instructions and logical steps for coding into a language readable by computers.
• Designs and writes basic to moderately complex computer programs.
• Uses computer-aided software tools, such as flowchart design and code generation, in each stage of system development.
• Operates computer system to check out programs, troubleshoot and test systems.
• Monitors performance of programs after implementation.
• Assists in analysis, review, and alterations to programs to increase operating efficiency or to adapt to new requirements.
• Assists with documentation to describe programs development, logic, coding, and corrections.
• Assists in developing user manuals to describe installation and operating procedures.
• Provides basic technical assistance to program users as required.
• Performs related work, as required.

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.

Job Summary -- Essential Functions

• Prepares flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate a sequence of steps that a program must follow and to describe logical operations involved.

• Designs and writes basic to moderately complex computer programs.
• Uses computer-aided software tools, such as flowchart design and code generation, in each stage of system development.

• Monitors performance of programs after implementation.
• Assists in analysis, review, and alterations to programs to increase operating efficiency or to adapt to new requirements.

Requirements -- Education, Technical, And Work Experience

Associate's degree in Computer Programming or a related field; or equivalent technical training from an accredited academic institution, completion of a recognized certification program, or equivalent experience and demonstrated skills, knowledge, and technical competence in computer programming. Must have demonstrated proficiency at a basic level with required computer languages and a basic understanding of computer systems including networks, servers, and personal computers.

In addition, a Programmer I must possess the following qualifications:

• Must possess some planning and organizing skills and demonstrate the ability to work under deadlines.
• Must possess verbal and written communication skills sufficient to permit interaction with other employees as well as taking work direction from senior unit personnel.
• Must qualify for and maintain a government security clearance.
• Must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license.

SALARY

The expected salary range for this position is $79,185.60 to $87,360.00 annually.

JT4 considers factors such as (but not limited to) responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market/business considerations when extending an offer.
