Job summary

Peregrine Technical Solutions is seeking a Programmer Analyst V in the United States to lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of complex software applications. This senior role directs teams of analysts and programmers and acts as a trusted internal consultant on challenging projects.

Responsibilities include coordinating work, clarifying requirements with management, guiding technical staff, and ensuring timely delivery and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software development, programming, or systems analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead development teams on a large internal project or oversee multiple smaller projects and systems.
• Act as senior internal technical consultant directing program development in complex applications with little guidance.
• Clarify program intent, identify problems, suggest changes, and determine required coding with user management and technical staff.
• Assign, coordinate and review work of lower-level analyst/programmers in advanced techniques.
• Prescribe standards to simplify interpretation of programs and documentation.
• Supervise preparation of records and reports.
• Utilize project management tools to coordinate and plan development work and report progress to business owners.
• Ensure developers meet timelines and coordinate with Business Process team for UAT and release scheduling.

This role leads teams of lower-level analysts/programmers and serves as a trusted internal consultant on projects where existing architectures or standards may provide little guidance.

Responsibilities

• Leads lower-level analyst/programmers and other technical staff on a large, complex internal development project or serves as lead analyst/programmer on numerous smaller projects and systems.
• Typically a senior internal technical consultant who directs program development in complex applications and systems where existing architectures and techniques provide little guidance.
• Consults with user management and technical staff as necessary to clarify program intent, identify problems, suggest changes, and determine required coding.
• Assigns, coordinates and reviews work of lower-level analyst/programmers in advanced techniques.
