Job description

Salary Range: $60,000.00 To $70,000.00 Annually

Reports to: VP of Technology Key Internal Partners: IT This position is designated as On-Site, and the job may be performed at any of the following office locations: Hanover, PA; Aurora or Pekin, IL; or Eaton, IN.
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The Programmer/Analyst l will learn under the guidance of the Programmer/Analyst to develop, repair, and maintain company-specific software programs. They will work to identify company needs and create software programs to maximize business operations. As a part of the Information Technology team, the Programmer/Analyst l is entrusted with the security of Ox information assets and will be required to support IT operations outside of normal business hours to include participating in weekend on-call support rotation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop applications that support business operations with the expectation that they will eventually assume responsibility for all custom applications developed and used by various Ox locations.
  • Develop experience in Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, and supporting technologies for the purpose of developing web applications. Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio will serve as the primary tools for development.
  • Develop a basic knowledge of the C# programming language, HTML, CSS, and SQL.
  • Develop reports in Microsoft SQL Server Report Services using Microsoft Visual Studio, and Power BI using Power BI Desktop.
  • Establish a detailed understanding of the Ox data warehouse and the mechanics of acquiring data from multiple Ox locations.
  • Maintain existing program code that runs the Greycon X-Trim to Panther interface and will make changes and enhancements as required.
  • Document new custom applications and maintain existing documentation. They should demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills needed to understand user requirements, and to document and convey those requirements to the team.
  • Monitor and correct issues with daily scheduled jobs and reports.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • A minimum of 2 years of college majoring in business or information technology
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of basic networking and computer operation support, as well as an aptitude for learning basic programming skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Access and/or Microsoft SQL Server and accompanying technologies is preferred.
  • Exposure to web development, and working with tools like Microsoft Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, and Microsoft Power BI is highly desired.
