Job summary

SPIDER at Stockholm University seeks a Programme Manager for Research to oversee project results, manage bilateral collaborations, and coordinate budget planning in ICT4D initiatives. The role involves communicating findings, liaising with researchers, and representing SPIDER in national and international projects.

The position is full-time for 12 months, with Stockholm University setting salaries individually.

Qualifications

  • Compile previously accumulated results from our research projects and make these available to a wider public.
  • Handle bi-lateral collaborations with Swedish partner countries.
  • Plan, administer, follow up results of the research part of our projects for all thematic areas and evaluate new partnerships.
  • Communicate research results orally and in writing.
  • Budget follow-up of research project collaborations including the annual audit.
  • Represent and organize SPIDER in various national and global digital development projects (ICT4D) activities in research, e.g. seminars and conferences.
  • Participate in ICT4D training activities.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of our thematic areas and, together with the other programme managers, have close contacts with researchers and other organizations nationally and internationally.
  • Assist in preparing applications for other funding routes.

SPIDER (the Swedish Program for ICT in Developing Regions) is an independent centre at the Department of Data and System Science (DSV), Stockholm University that focuses on the digitilization of international development cooperation.

Job Description

Other duties include working with overall budget planning and future visions for SPIDER. It is also desirable that you participate in our application preparation for other funding routes. Furthermore, as programme manager, you will also participate in the development of our thematic areas and, together with the other programme managers, have close contacts with researchers and other organizations important to the field, nationally as well as internationally.

Terms of employment

The employment is full-time with a 12 month limit. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting, so feel free to state salary claims. Starting as soon as possible.
