Job summary

Pathfinder, Inc. is seeking a Program Training Instructor to directly supervise and guide trainees through daily activities and supervised workshops.

You will coordinate opportunities for individuals to meet their objectives, monitor progress, and ensure accurate data collection and reporting. The role requires high school diploma or GED, basic Excel skills, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

General Description Of Position

Performs the duties related to the direct contact, instruction and supervision of individuals with a disability. Duties include: identifying barriers to progress, initiation and carrying out program plans, evaluating progress, record keeping, and meeting and maintaining all rules and regulations of Pathfinder Inc.

Monday – Friday 7:30 AM–3:30 PM

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Direct supervision and monitoring of trainees at all times.
• Coordinate activities and opportunities for individuals to meet objectives.
• Analyze and resolve problems or assist trainees in problem solving.
• Establish or adjust procedures to accomplish tasks.
• Interpret task assignments to trainees.
• Provide necessary supplies and materials to implement social and prevocational training projects.
• Interpret and enforce all company policies, procedures and safety regulations to trainees.
• Inspect contract work produced to determine if items meet business specifications.
• Maintain progress and collect data reports on participants.
• Maintain time and production records.
• Initiate or implement strategies to motivate trainees to achieve their goals.
• Assist counselors and program evaluators in formulation and revision of individual program plans.
• Instruct and supervise trainees with daily living skills and the maintenance of clean workshop areas.
• Co‑ordinate with other Program Training Instructors, Vocational Counselors, Mental Health, O.T., P.T. and Speech staff to coordinate activities and therapies.
• Transport individuals to and from workshop.
• Basic Excel knowledge needed.

Education And Experience

High school diploma or GED. Other job‑related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the qualifications reviewed by Human Resources.

Required Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Driving for Pathfinder may be required under certain circumstances.
Must be able to pass applicable background checks and drug screen. Any offer of employment will be based on the results of background checks and drug screen.

Salary: $12.66‑$13.16 per hour
