Job summary

Meadowview Behavioral Hospital is hiring a Program Therapist to deliver bio-psychosocial care and support patients toward stabilization and recovery. You will provide counseling, crisis intervention, and work with the treatment team to help patients progress and meet measurable goals.

We offer a diverse schedule including day, evening, and weekend shifts. A Master’s in Social Work and strong clinical skills are essential, with licensure preferred in Illinois.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or clinically related field.
• Illinois State license in social work or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a psychiatric facility with family/group therapies and crisis intervention.

In this role, you will provide therapeutic services, support patients in developing treatment and coping skills, and contribute to a collaborative care environment focused on stabilization and recovery.Your responsibilities will include providing consultation, delivering specialized clinical social work services, conducting crisis intervention, and facilitating short- and long-term therapeutic interventions. You will work closely with the interdisciplinary treatment team to support patient progress and ensure high-quality, compassionate care.We are seeking a dedicated professional who can provide appropriate information, resources, and referrals to patients and families while helping individuals navigate their recovery journey. An Illinois State license in social work or a clinical-related mental health field is preferred.Experience: A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; and strong clinical assessment skills preferred.Additional Skill Requirements: Must be able to pass a competency exam upon hire.
