POSITION SUMMARY
Summit Oaks Hospital, a 126-bed, private acute care hospital and chemical dependency treatment center located in a picturesque suburban setting, fully accredited by the Joint Commission, has been providing quality healthcare to adult, child, and adolescent residents of the northeastern USA since 1902. Our busy Inpatient Department is seeking a highly motivated and licensed clinician to join our therapeutic team. The Inpatient Program Therapist performs social services functions to assist patients in meeting their bio-psychosocial needs and achieving optimal emotional health through therapeutic treatment. Program Therapists provide consultation, teaching, specialized social work services for patients and families, crisis intervention, short-term therapy, and information and referrals as needed. The group specialist will focus on facilitating therapeutic group sessions across all units.

Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a related mental health field.
Experience: At least two (2) years in a psychiatric healthcare facility, with experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills preferred; strong clinical assessment skills are desirable. Trauma-Informed Care training is preferred.
License: Must hold a state license in their discipline (e.g., LSW, LAC) at minimum.
Additional Requirements: Handle With Care training within 90 days of employment, prior to assisting in restraining procedures. Flexibility to work varying hours and overtime may be required.
