Job summary

Ridgeview Institute Monroe is seeking a Program Therapist to support social services and guide patients in accessing treatment skills for emotional well-being. You will provide counseling, crisis intervention, and family therapy within a compassionate team.

The candidate brings a Master’s in Social Work or related field and GA licensure, with at least 2 years in psychiatric care. CPR and crisis training within 30 days are required, along with flexible hours to meet program needs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or clinical mental health field; GA state license required.
• Minimum 2 years in a psychiatric health care facility with family and group therapies, crisis intervention.
• CPR certification and crisis intervention training required within 30 days; ability to participate in restraining procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual/couples/family counseling with engagement, collaboration, and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with community agencies for patient assessment and services.
• Evaluate and document the effectiveness of interventions and patient responses.
• Assess the psychosocial, educational, and behavioral functioning of patients and document updates.
• Utilize age-specific considerations in treatment planning.
• Respond promptly to social work service requests.
• Contribute to the effective functioning of the patient’s program and meet social work needs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings.
• Ensure specific, measurable goals and interventions are defined.
• Adhere to standards for care of diverse patient populations.
• Utilize appropriate interventions in psychiatric emergencies.
