Job description

Overview

Are you someone who strives for excellence, values accountability, provides the best service, and demonstrates integrity? This role leads instructional programs at a campus location and shapes relationships with faculty and students to achieve strong performance and workforce outcomes.

Essential Functions
  • Team Leadership: Build quality relationships with faculty, students, and industry clients; foster trust, respect, and empathy; set clear performance expectations and develop faculty and students.
  • Program Recruitment & Marketing: Participate in the program's sales and marketing efforts; assist with recruiting campaigns; engage faculty in student recruitment; represent the program to stakeholders.
  • Student Success: Monitor learning outcomes and leading indicators; coordinate evaluations and interventions; remove systemic barriers; manage grievances with shared services and local leadership.
  • Local Industry Relations: Coordinate local employer engagement; form and cultivate local industry councils; align curriculum with labor market trends; research industry trends and emerging technology.
  • Management: Coordinate program resources, budgeting, scheduling, and collaboration with shared services on curriculum and content development; contribute to statewide advisory committees and mission alignment.
Salary

Salary Range: $88,000 – $101,000. Final offer determined by qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills: Demonstrated leadership in a competency-based learning environment; effective coaching and communication with diverse populations; experience collaborating with diverse professionals; understanding of competency-based education; experience leading student support and instruction; proficiency with technology-based educational delivery; ability to work with at‑risk students.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team using relational leadership (influence over authority).
  • Familiarity with stakeholders within the related program discipline (e.g., employers, faculty, vendors).
  • Ability to drive organizational change.
  • Relevant credentials from an accredited institution as required by the program (program-specific accreditor).
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience recruiting and developing a team.
  • Experience with profit and loss responsibility.
  • Experience with adult learners and distance learning; change management; and leading change.
  • Experience as faculty within TSTC or similar environments.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with a measurable team or project.
