Family Options, Inc in Connecticut is seeking a dedicated professional to ensure effective training and compliance with Agency policies for programs supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. The role involves providing training, supervision, and quality assurance across various programs.
Ideal candidates should possess an Associate Degree in Human Services, have supervisory experience, and the ability to work on a flexible schedule. Responsibilities include coordinating training and ensuring that all state and federal requirements are met.
Work in coordination with the Agency’s human resources and management personnel in ensuring implementation of effective and efficient systems to ensure compliance with Agency Policies and Procedures. Directs training systems for Agency. Provides onsite, support, training and supervision to the Agency’s day and residential programs.
Other duties may be assigned.
Attend required staff meetings and actively participate in in-services and trainings.
Work cooperatively with Agency administrative personnel, consultants, families, and other agencies in providing and implementing individual client goals.
Work cooperatively with supervisory and other staff within the Agency and those from other agencies.
Communicates effectively, professionally, and respectfully to all clients, Agency, DDS, community, and outside Agency personnel.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Individual must be able to work on a flexible rotating schedule.
Associate Degree in the Human Service or related field and/or a minimum of two years experience supervising programs or services for individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, or medical issues; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret English documents such as safety rules, maintenance instructions, medical reports and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, families, regulatory agencies, and other employees.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Able to interpret data and to develop and interpret graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
