Job summary

Georgia Tech is seeking a professional to coordinate and provide administrative support for targeted programs and projects within the School of Architecture. You will interact with faculty and staff, advising and counseling them as needed while supporting multiple unit initiatives.

The role requires planning and executing events, managing calendars for the Chair, and occasional evenings/weekends. Experience with HR, procurement, and financial systems is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Technical Diploma or Associate's Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three to five years of job-related experience is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred; five+ years of experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute and provide logistics for meetings and events.
  • Coordinate schedules and manage logistics for programs and initiatives.
  • Evaluate feasibility and sustainability of proposed programs and initiatives.
  • Support identification and execution of unit programs and projects.
  • Organize meeting materials and distribute as needed.
  • Track data for reports on targeted programs and initiatives.
  • Keep stakeholders updated on progress and milestones.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Coordinate and provide professional and administrative support for targeted programs and/or projects and unit initiatives. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Faculty and staff. This position typically will advise and counsel: Faculty and staff. This position will supervise: NA.

Responsibilities
  • Job Duty 1 - Plan, execute and provide assistance for meeting and event logistics and scheduling
  • Job Duty 2 - Establish schedules, oversee arrangements and provide logistics support for targeted programs and/or projects and unit initiatives
  • Job Duty 3 - Evaluate, assess and report on the feasibility and sustainability of potential programs, projects and initiatives
  • Job Duty 4 - Provide necessary support related to the identification and execution of adopted unit programs/projects and other unit initiatives
  • Job Duty 5 - Develop, arrange/coordinate meetings and project materials for distribution, as necessary
  • Job Duty 6 - Compile, organize and analyze data for use in reports for targeted programs/projects and other unit initiatives
  • Job Duty 7 - Monitor and update appropriate stakeholders of progress/milestones for program/project objectives
  • Job Duty 8 - Perform other duties as assigned
Job Specific Responsibilities

Demonstrated ability to plan and execute events from start to finish, including lectures, symposia, recruitment events, faculty searches, final reviews, and faculty meetings. Supports communications efforts such as email campaigns and promotional materials; coordinates with the College of Design Events Coordinator and Administrative Manager on event logistics and expense tracking. Serves in a public-facade role, including managing the Chair's calendar, and is available to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.

Educational Requirements

Required Qualifications: Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Additional KSAs

Experience with university HR, procurement, and financial systems (such as Workday or similar platforms); proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office applications; strong organizational and project coordination skills; ability to effectively collaborate with College Business and HR offices; and a demonstrated commitment to teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
