Job summary

The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality is seeking a Program Supervisor to supervise, plan, administer, and lead the implementation of the Virginia Pollution Abatement (VPA) permit program. The role focuses on delivering consistent, accurate, and legally defensible permits for wastewater or residuals without discharging to surface waters.

Hybrid work arrangement includes in-office and telework; candidates must work from a Virginia location.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, plan, administer, and lead the implementation of the Virginia Pollution Abatement (VPA) permit program.
• Ensure delivery of consistent, accurate, and technically and legally defensible VPA individual permits authorizing the management of municipal and industrial wastewater or residuals without a discharge to surface waters.
