We take a comprehensive approach by offering more than 180 integrated programs in: Education & Youth Development, Family Support, Job Training & Employment Support Services, Health, Housing, and Legal Services. We reach more than 73,000 individuals and families, including almost 13,000 youth. CAMBA serves a diverse cross section of New Yorkers from new mothers in Brownsville to job seekers in the Rockaways. More than half of our clients are immigrants and refugees from around the globe. Over 85% of our families live in poverty, reflecting the challenges faced by nearly 1.7 million New Yorkers today.

Short Term Housing Program

This program provides 35 units of congregate and transitional housing to PLWHA who are homeless or at serious risk of homelessness. There are 7 units of housing at the program’s congregate facility located at 27 Winthrop Street and 15 families and 13 singles residing in community apartments. Clients residing in congregate have their own lockable room but share common space such as the bathrooms, living room and kitchen. STHP housing program provides a model of service that addresses the interrelated problems of HIV and homelessness. Through our 24‑hour congregate residence and the apartments in the community, we prepare our clients for permanent housing.
