Job summary

Northern Pines Mental Health Center is seeking a Program Supervisor to lead the ARMHS team across six counties. The role oversees day-to-day operations, staff supervision, and long-term strategic development, while maintaining a clinical caseload and ensuring high-quality mental health services.

The position requires a behavioral health practitioner credential, supervisory experience, and travel across the service region. Competitive wages and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

  • Must qualify as a behavioral health practitioner as defined by the Minnesota DHS.
  • Experience with supervision and clinical oversight preferred.
  • Travel requires valid driver's license and vehicle access.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise ARMHS staff including recruitment, training, scheduling, and evaluations.
  • Maintain client caseload and perform ARMHS practitioner duties.
  • Collaborate to develop policies, procedures, and program protocols.
  • Facilitate staff meetings and provide individual supervision as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations and standards of care.
  • Monitor ARMHS documentation, schedules, and productivity in the EHR.
  • Rotate and supervise clinical supervision, intakes, and in-home therapy.

Education

Master's degree in behavioral sciences or related fields
2,000 hours of mental health services experience
30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in Behavioral Sciences + practicum
Licensed Mental Health Professional (LICSW/LPCC/LP/LMFT/NP) in MN

This full-time position will work throughout our six-county service region. The ARMHS Program Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations as well as long-term strategic development of the ARMHS Program within Northern Pines Mental Health Center.Essential Functions include:Complete all supervisory functions for ARMHS staff including but not limited to: recruitment and selection, training, scheduling, providing direction, delegating assignments, providing evaluations, addressing employee concerns, and addressing employee performance issuesMaintain a client caseload and perform all essential functions of the ARMHS Practitioner roleCollaborate with Director of Operations, Clinical Director, and Human Resources to develop and enforce policies, procedures, and protocolsRegularly facilitate staff meetings and individual supervision as necessaryManage daily operations of ARMHS program in compliance with all state and federal regulations including but not limited to: standards of care, licensing, and insuranceComplete audits in collaboration with the Clinical Director and Director of Operations to ensure program requirements are being metMonitor and evaluate client care to ensure treatment is carried out in accordance with agency philosophy and quality standardsReview and monitor staff schedules within the E.H.R. to ensure efficient scheduling and productivityMonitor ARMHS documentation to ensure it is completed on time and to standardsCollaborate with Clinical Director and Director of Operations to grow ARMHS services as well as provide oversight of program activitiesTrain new ARMHS staff in various functions of the ARMHS Practitioner and Peer Support Specialist rolesAssist with regular supervision including scheduling and co-facilitatingRegularly run reports and take action to resolve issues. This includes, but is not limited to: failed activities, status not kept, incomplete status, rejected trips, ARMHS compliance report, etc.Provide ongoing field supervisionInterview with clients regarding servicesFollow up with any client complaints to ensure highest quality of careQualifications include:Must qualify as a behavioral health practitioner as defined by the Minnesota Department of Human Services in one of the following ways:Holds a master's or other graduate degree in behavioral sciences or related fields. ORHas at least 2,000 hours (approximately one year working full-time) of work experience in the delivery of mental health services. ORHas completed at least 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours of coursework in Behavioral Sciences or related fields AND has completed a practicum or internship that required direct interaction with adults or children served, and was focused on behavioral sciences or related fields. ORIf a Mental Health Professional, must hold a valid license in behavioral health without restrictions (e.g. LICSW, LPCC, LP, LMFT, NP) in the State of MNIn addition to the above duties, a Mental Health Professional will be responsible for the Clinical Supervision of the ARMHS Team, along with intakes and in-home psychotherapyThis position involves travel; a valid Driver’s License and ability to operate a motor vehicle is requiredPrior experience related to county social services, characteristics of mental health conditions and their effects on functions, psychotropic medications, the effects and characteristics of mental illness is preferredSenior leadership experience in a not-for-profit setting is preferredCompensation & Benefits include:Wage Range: $58,000 - $85,000 annually considering credentialsHealth, Dental, Disability and Life insurance with other additional voluntary options for spousal life, short term disability, accident, hospital indemnity and critical illness plansHealth Savings account with employer contribution401K with employer matchGenerous paid time off (1st - 3rd year, full-time employees earn 19 days/152 hours per year.
