ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF CHILD SAFETY The Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) is a social and human services agency whose mission is to successfully partner with families, caregivers, and the community to strengthen families, ensure safety, and achieve permanency for all Arizona’s children through prevention, services, and support. PROGRAM SUPERVISION COACH Job Location: This position will be based out of the Maricopa East or Northeast DCS field office locations.
( Apache Junction, Casa Grande, Mesa, Phoenix)

Under the supervision of the Supervision Coach Program Supervisor, this position serves the mission of DCS by assisting in building workforce member’s proficiency in: safety assessment, clinical supervision, clinical case management, the DCS Management System, coaching in child welfare, and a culture of safety and learning

Job Duties:

Provides direct coaching to workforce members regarding SAFE AZ, Protective Factors Framework, Youth Thrive, family engagement, clinical supervision, DCS Management System, coaching in child welfare, and building and maintaining a culture of safety and learning.

Responsible for observation and feedback of clinical supervision and the use of the DCS Management System. Follows the standard work for Supervision Coaches. Provides case consultation as a practice expert.

Facilitates training to new leaders and new coaches. Leads group learning activities with workforce members and peers.

Meets at regular intervals with direct supervisor to foster continuous growth and development through coaching, observations, and feedback.

Participates in individual development activities.

Travels within region, county, and state as needed to fulfill job functions

Knowledge of:
- Federal and state laws/statutes related to child protection
- State and department policies, procedures, and standards related to child protection and supervision
- SAFE AZ, Protective Factors Framework, and Youth Thrive
- DCS Management System
- Qualitative and quantitative information gathering and evaluation techniques
- Relevant computer software products such as Microsoft Office.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and
Two (2) years as a DCS Program Supervisor

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Must be able to secure and maintain clearance from the CPS Central Registry. • Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation

Retirement:

Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS).
Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of state employment.
