Job summary

Center for Life Resources is seeking a dedicated PROGRAM SUPERVISOR—ECI in Brownwood, TX to lead, supervise staff, and ensure adherence to state ECI guidelines. Hours are full-time, 8 A.M. – 5 P.M., with a strong focus on service delivery and family engagement.

The role requires coordinating with schools, agencies and families, planning programs, and monitoring budgets while keeping up with current best practices in early childhood development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or graduate degree required in a relevant field.
• ECI experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Provide programmatic direction and implement state guidelines for the ECI program.
• Supervise staff, including selection and training.
• Coordinate staff activities and training; manage contracts and follow-along services.
• Act as liaison between the State Agency (ECI), schools, professional groups, and families.
• Involve in program planning, development and interagency coordination; assist budget development.
• Maintain current knowledge of early childhood development and best intervention practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties may vary based on specific program and position, and may include but are not limited to the following:

• Under the general supervision of the Chief of Children’s Services, and with considerable latitude for independent judgment, the responsibility is to provide programmatic direction and implementation of state guidelines established by the Early Childhood Intervention Program.
• The Supervisor provides direct supervision of the staff, including selection and training.
• He/She coordinates activities and training needs of the staff, is responsible for initiating and maintaining contracts and providing follow-along for these services.
• The Supervisor is a liaison between the State Agency (ECI), public schools, professional groups, other groups such as civic groups and families.
• He/She is involved in program planning, development, and interagency coordination as well as ongoing assistance in budget development.
• The Supervisor must maintain a current knowledge of early childhood development and current best practices of intervention for children with disabilities.

Education and Experience

Position requires a bachelor’s degree or graduate degree from an accredited university with a specialization in: Child Development, Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Nursing, Rehabilitation Counseling, Human Development, or related field; or an unrelated field and have at least 18 hours of semester course credit in Child Development.

ECI experience preferred.
