Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, or related field plus 2 years IDD experience.
  • Associate degree with 60+ credits plus 4 years IDD experience.
  • Experience working directly with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building ability.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to attend off-site meetings.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and update ISP/IHP and 6-month reviews.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary input to ensure comprehensive, person-centered care planning.
  • Lead and facilitate required meetings in compliance with PA 3800/6400 and DHS regulations.
  • Train and support staff on individualized plans, behavioral supports, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor and document monthly and quarterly progress toward outcomes.
  • Ensure all required services are delivered and aligned with each child’s goals.
  • Maintain consistent communication with families, schools, and external providers.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary, QA, and safety meetings.
  • Support participation in community-based activities and life experiences.

Program Specialist Shift Options (7.5-hour shifts):

  • Open to discuss, options are 7:00am-3:00pm, 8:00am-4:00pm or 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday -Friday.
