Job summary

Office of Professional Regulation in Des Moines, IA, seeks a Program Specialist for the Client Security Commission. The role focuses on auditing attorney client trust accounts, supporting succession planning, and managing misappropriation claims with a team of commission staff.

The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a pay range of $23.73–$37.52 per hour. Starting salary will be at the base of the range, with potential adjustments for relevant experience. Relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with two years of related experience or equivalent combination.
• Experience with trust accounts auditing, collections, or compliance is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to handle confidential records.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys and staff with submission of audit materials; materials review; reminders and follow-up requests for information.
• Provide administrative support for Client Security programs, e.g. answering phones and responding to emails, preparing notices, digitizing files, data entry and recordkeeping.
• Serve as a resource and contact person for attorneys, the Commission's audit staff, judges, and the public.
• Organize and maintain confidential files and records.
• Assist with entity-wide regulatory and educational functions for attorneys.
• Other duties as assigned and required.
