Job summary

The Evelyn Hamblen Center seeks an ESE-certified Program Specialist to support two schools: Gaines Alternative School and Hamblen Therapeutic Day School. You will help transition students back to home zone schools, assist with ESE services and IEP implementation.

Preferred LEA training; PCM and Ukeru training will be provided by the District. This is a full-time on-site role with 240 days per year and a starting salary around $67,800. The position begins 11/12/2026.

Qualifications

• The applicant for this position should be ESE certified, and preferably LEA trained.
• PCM and Ukeru training will be provided by the District.
• Duties include providing transition support to students returning to home zone schools, and assisting with ESE services and IEP implementation.

The Evelyn Hamblen Center is an alternative site that serves two schools; the Gaines Alternative School, a program that serves students who have committed level 4 infractions of the District code of conduct, and Hamblen, a Therapeutic Day School, that serves students with behavioral issues, including students with both EBD and ASD exceptionalities.

The applicant for this position will work with both schools to provide transition support to students returning to home zone schools, assist with ESE services, and IEP implementation.
