Job summary

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is recruiting for a District PM/Configuration Manager to oversee the P2 automated information system, ensuring accurate project entry, scheduling, and reporting across district programs.

The role requires extensive experience in planning and project management, coordinating with project managers, analysts, and technical leads, and applying standardized processes to achieve consistent data entry and reporting for all district initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Specialized Experience: Planning and Project Management experience including identifying, managing, and integrating resource requirements, scope, budgets, schedules, quality, procurement, risk, and customer relationships for program accomplishment.
  • This includes providing expert technical advice on system automation to resolve problems and create, develop and execute training for a program management automated information system.

  • Applies a thorough understanding of the District operations and functions for the P2 system application.
  • Works with Project Managers, Program Analysts, technical managers, and functional chiefs to ensure projects are identified and entered into P2.
  • Establishes policies and procedures for project schedules as the Network Analysis System expert.
  • Acts as a local Primary Local Configuration Manager (PLCM) for P2.
  • Develops the District's overall project management plan to ensure uniform PM processes for P2 data entry and reporting.

  • Works with Project Managers, Program Analysts, technical managers, and functional chiefs to ensure all projects are identified and correctly entered into the P2 system.
  • As the Network Analysis System expert for the District, establishes policies and procedures for Project Managers and other PDT members on the best business practices needed in order to establish project schedules.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes previous experience with Planning and Project Management which includes identifying, managing, and integrating resource requirements, scope, budgets, schedules, quality, procurement, risk, and customer relationships as required for program accomplishment; providing expert technical advice on system automation to resolve problems and create, develop and execute training for a program management automated information system.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
