Job summary

Solidus is seeking a highly skilled Program Security Specialist to support defense programs in Albuquerque, NM. You will perform a broad range of security functions to protect government-sensitive information in a SCIF, coordinating with SSO, FSO, and CSSO to enable mission-critical work.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, strong knowledge of SAP programs, and experience with DoD security policies. You will lead security briefings, training, and audits to ensure compliance and protect assets.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Contingent Pipeline Notice This description represents a prospective position. Applications will populate our active talent pipeline for ongoing and upcoming delivery order requests supporting the IAC MAC modernization enterprise in Albuquerque, NM.

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Program Security Specialist to join our team in support of mission-critical defense programs. You will play a key role in performing a wide range of functions to ensure the protection of government-sensitive and classified information.

Day In The Life

• Perform a wide range of day-to-day security functions to ensure the protection of company and government sensitive and classified information in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
• Work without considerable direction, with some guidance from the Special Security Office (SSO), Facility Security Officer (FSO), and Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) in implementing security procedures to enable military, contractors, government civilians, and other tenants to support critical missions.
• Apply specific functional, working, and general expertise in multiple security fields, including personnel security, document control, visitor control, physical security, classification management, and prime and subcontract DD Form 254 administration.
• Interact with government security officials, clients, and employees to perform security duties, including clearance processing, personnel security record management, adverse reports, administrative inquiries, suspicious contact reports, visit certifications, and document control, and support industrial security efforts as needed.
• Provide security advice, guidance, and recommendations to all levels of staff, and coordinate and conduct security briefings, debriefings, and Security Awareness Training and Education (SATE) sessions.
• Ensure the security program is compliant with DoD security requirements and prepare for and participate in security compliance audits and vulnerability assessments.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Experience being read into and supporting SAP programs
• Experience with security policy and manuals, and ICDs, JFANs, DoD, and guiding policy documents
• Experience working with Special Access Program (SAP) information and with SIC or JADE account look ups and creations, submitting SAP nominations for program access, and SAP security education implementation and annual reporting
• Experience working in a fast-paced team environment
• Experience directing the activities of security specialists
• Experience working Security Classification Guides and classification reviews
• Experience with physical security, such as Co-Use Agreements and Compartmented Area Checklists
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
• Bachelors degree and 4+ years of experience supporting daily Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities for the DoD, or 8+ years of experience supporting daily Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities for the DoD in lieu of a degree

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Experience using Microsoft Office software applications
• Ability to provide constructive, tactful, and discrete security advice and guidance to personnel across all levels, including senior managers, peers, subordinates, and customers
• Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills
• DoD Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) IAW DoD Manual 3305.13M Certification
• Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
