Job summary

BETA Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Quality professional to lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives in Vermont. You will partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, Production Engineering, and Quality to define processes and drive efficiency.

The role emphasizes upstream quality, APQP, PFMEA, and PFMEA-driven design support, with a focus on reducing variation and sustaining improvements across programs. Onsite work in Vermont is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years in a manufacturing quality role with continuous improvement projects.
  • Proficient in root cause analysis methods (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone) and APQP/PFMEA.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100D and 14 CFR Part 21 requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional continuous improvement projects to improve processes and manufacturing flow.
  • Drive Kaizen, Process Mapping, Value Stream Mapping and 5S events.
  • Lead APQP initiatives and ensure quality upstream in design processes.
  • Perform verification to measure improvement effectiveness and reduce variation.
  • Maintain visible quality metrics linked to company goals.
  • Update QMS procedures and work instructions as gaps are identified.

Lead cross functional continuous improvement projects tofacilitateefficientprocesses andmanufacturingflowwith a focus on compliance.Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, DesignEngineering, Production Engineering, Production Technicians and Quality to define processes and improvement opportunities. Efforts will primarily be focused on continuous improvement but may also incorporate corrective and preventive action projects.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:

  • LeadContinuous improvementteams to driveprocess improvementscreatingefficiencyand standardization in support of company goals.
  • Lead continuous improvement events such as Kaizen, Process Mapping, Value Stream Mapping, RRCA, 5S, StandardWork.
  • Perform process walks, operator observations, and lead MFG team discussions to drive process enhancements to reduce variation.
  • Lead/Drive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives (PFMEA, control Plans, SPC, etc.) to drive quality upstream into the design process.
  • Perform verification and validation of improvements to understand effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements to be leveraged across similar process/assemblies as well as other programs.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement through training and other communication methods.
  • Build andmaintaina visible quality metrics dashboard that connectscontinuous improvement to company goals.
  • Recommend and support updates to QMS procedures, work instructions, and forms whenprojectsreveal process gaps or documentation deficiencies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field — or equivalent demonstrated competence
  • 3+ years in a manufacturing quality role, with direct hands-on experience running continuous improvement projects/events through to verified closure
  • Proficiencyin structured root cause analysis methods (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, DIVE, or equivalent), APQP, PFMEA
  • Working knowledge ofAS9100Dand14 CFR Part 21requirements
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and interpret inspection data
  • Motivatedself starterwith exceptional ability for indirect influence and teamleadershipwith a high degree of emotionalintelligenceand ability tomodifymethods foraudience.

Above and Beyond Qualifications:

  • Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
  • Aerospace or defense manufacturing background
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, factory floor layout,kanbans, inventorymanagement, visual factory

The wage listed here reflects our best faith estimate for this role. Compensation

$120,000 - $150,000 USD
