Job description

The Industrial Commission of Arizona (ICA) is seeking a PROGRAM & PROJECT SPECIALIST 1 to work in the Claims Division. The successful candidate will work with other divisional resources to create and implement continuing education, modernization, and improved efficiency efforts.

The position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona, based on the department's business needs and performance measures. The role will involve working closely with various teams, including Compliance, Awards/Wages, Insurance, and Admin Teams.

Job Summary

The project specialist will focus on improving industry compliance and internal training. The position will be responsible for developing and implementing carrier/adjuster outreach training programs, modernizing compliance programs, and preparing Salesforce reports and dashboards.

Job Duties
  • Participate in and develop carrier/adjuster outreach training programs and strategic expansion.
  • Modernize compliance programs by gathering information and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare and provide Salesforce reports and dashboards to drive improvement.
  • Contribute to and prepare monthly webinars and monitor expiring Out of State Authorizations.
  • Conduct audits to proactively identify internal and external compliance issues.
  • Work closely with teams and management to troubleshoot and problem-solve training and customer issues.
  • Assist with the operations side of the Annual Claims Seminar, including contributing as a speaker and handling day-to-day public inquiries.
  • Develop and maintain internal processes related to sales, distribution, and inventory of manuals and law/rule books.
  • Lead divisional team member training and employee development as directed.
  • Prepare and publish standard work and lead AMS in word and action.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of the Industrial Commission's Arizona Claims Division Operations.
  • Working knowledge of workers’ compensation laws and statutes.
  • Claims adjusting practices.
  • Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Salesforce.
  • Basic English and mathematics.
  • Internet-based searching and research.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will be self-motivated, with a strong focus on customer service and attention to detail.
