Job summary

Tekla Research, Inc. in the United States seeks a qualified professional to perform program and project analyses within a defense acquisition context. The role requires a Journeyman level BA/BS and 3–10 years of combined experience, with a preference for those who have supported NAVAIR.

The successful candidate will manage schedules, track progress, and ensure documentation governance, while coordinating inputs for data calls and program reviews. U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Applies analytic techniques in the evaluation of program/project objectives; analyzes requirements, status, budget and schedules.
  • Performs management, technical, or business case analyses.
  • Collects, organizes and interprets data relating to aircraft/weapon/project acquisition and product programs.
  • Tracks program/project status and schedules.
  • Implements government-instituted processes for documentation, change control and data management.
  • Manage L1 IPTL calendars to ensure supportability with all L1s and appropriate team members.
  • Coordinate inputs for data calls (WAR, Talking Points, briefs).
  • Support and coordination of Program Management Reviews and Platform HUDs; plan, prepare, participate, follow up actions.
  • Draft civilian award nominations and letters of appreciation.
  • Consolidate and review documents requiring L1 IPTL review/signature.
  • Assist Communications Team with Public Release requests.
  • Analyze data in CSPT and PMT for weekly reports to L1 IPTLs.
  • Prepare/participate in Acquisition Oversight Council and Reliability Control Boards.
  • Coordinate with Functional Teams for holistic review of responses.
  • Track deliverables, milestones, meetings, briefs; ensure coordinated work across IPTs/Ops.
  • Work with Operations team to ensure engagement of tasks.
  • Prepare briefs, point papers, and other documentation as required.
  • Maintain weekly to annual priorities/events.

Functional Description
  • Applies analytic techniques in the evaluation of program/project objectives. Analyzes requirements, status, budget and schedules.
  • Performs management, technical, or business case analyses.
  • Collects, completes, organizes and interprets data relating to aircraft/weapon/project acquisition and product programs.
  • Tracks program/project status and schedules.

  • Coordination and solicitation of team inputs for data calls (i.e. Weekly Accomplishment Report (WAR)/Talking Points/briefs)
  • Support and coordination of Program Management Reviews and Platform HUDs to include planning, preparations, participation, follow up actions
  • Initiation, solicitation of inputs and drafting of Civilian award nominations, Letters of Appreciation, and other recognitions
  • Single point of consolidation, reviewing for accuracy and processing of documents requiring L1 IPTL review/signature
  • Assisting Communications Team with Public Release requests (coordination with appropriate IPTs)
  • Analysis of data in digital tools such as Common Spend Plan Tool (CSPT) and Procurement Management Tool (PMT) analysis and summary to L1 IPTLs weekly
  • Prepare/participate in monthly Acquisition Oversight Council and Reliability Control Boards
  • Coordinate with Functional Teams, as necessary, to ensure holistic review of responses
  • Track deliverables, major events/milestones, meetings, briefings, and develop plans to ensure products are prepared, information is communicated, and both L1 and L2 IPTs/Ops are working in a coordinated and cohesive manner
  • Work with Operations team members across the IPTs and Functional Teams to ensure awareness and engagement of tasks and activities that impact one or more teams
  • Prepare briefs, point papers, and other documentation as required
  • Develop and maintain list of weekly, monthly, quarterly, semiannual, annual priorities/events
Salary

The projected salary range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000; however, this is not a guarantee of salary. Salary will be set based on experience and contractual requirements.
