Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Production Planner C for on-site work in Salt Lake City. The role focuses on ensuring project deliverables stay on schedule and coordinating across departments to optimize production flow.

The candidate will perform critical path analysis, monitor material configurations, and negotiate workload across centers to meet deadlines. A strong background in office software and ERP systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary/Associate's Degree with at least 2 years of related experience.
• Preferred experience with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform critical path analysis to identify and mitigate delays that could impact production schedules.
• Analyze material configuration and job order status using Windows-based computer systems and software.
• Coordinate and negotiate workflow through multiple work centers to secure resources while meeting changing customer demands and deadlines.
• Identify and create goals to ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
• Communicate detailed schedule development to stakeholders, production management, and executive management.
• Perform schedule, risk, and continuous improvement analyses to drive solutions.
• Lift, twist, and rotate 32 pounds regularly.
• Work overtime, weekends, holidays, and/or second shift hours as needed.

Job Description:

The Production Planner interfaces with multiple departments and organizations, and is primarily responsible for ensuring project deliverables are completed on schedule.

Highly skilled and experience senior support individual contributor. Works autonomously. Acts as a mentor to lower level peers and provides guidance on tasks. Makes recommendations for process improvements. Works on assignments requiring development of concepts and techniques.

A successful candidate should be able to:

• Perform critical path analysis to identify and mitigate delays that could impact production schedules
• Analyze material configuration and job order status using Windows-based computer systems and software
• Coordinate and negotiate workflow through multiple work centers via various functional organizations to secure needed resources while ensuring changing customer demands, and schedule deadlines are met.
• Identify and create goals that lead to the successful completion of project deliverables within the allotted time
• Effectively communicate detailed schedule development to stakeholders, department leads, production management, and executive management
• Perform detailed schedule, risk, and continuous improvement-based analysis to identify, develop, and drive solutions
• Frequently lifts, twists, and rotates with 32 pounds on a consistent basis
• Works overtime, weekend, holiday and/or second shift hours as needed by program

Qualifications:

Requires fully proficient job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience in project or program execution techniques preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint)
• Experience with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems is preferred
