Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Child Development or Elementary Education preferred.
  • Full-time availability, including weekends and evenings.
  • Strong professional communication skills required.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and handle crises.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to manage administrative tasks.
  • Familiarity with the NYC community, NYCHA housing developments, DOE and DYCD programs preferred.
  • Must obtain NYC DOH and SCR clearance; NYS Food Handler’s Certificate and CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing on-site staff, including Group Leaders, Instructors, Office Manager, security team, and maintenance staff.
  • Represent NIA on site and cultivate relationships with community partners, co-locators, and subcontractors.
  • Support data management for the Cornerstone program, including attendance and funder reporting targets.
  • Assist with curriculum development, schedule planning, and event coordination.
  • Collaborate with the Cornerstone Director and participate in meetings and professional development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth operation of the Cornerstone program.
