Job summary

Texas Education Agency seeks an experienced manager to oversee daily operations of division programs, develop and evaluate procedures and coordinate activities to meet objectives. The role includes investigating and auditing compliance and planning work to ensure program requirements are implemented effectively.

The position requires planning, assigning and supervising staff under general supervision with some latitude for initiative and independent judgment.

Qualifications

Five (5) years of experience in management or equivalent.
Preferred experience monitoring statewide assessment programs such as the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills.
Substitution: each additional year of related experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and rules relevant to program areas.
Skill in mediation/complaint resolution, interviewing students and school staff, research, problem-solving, training and communications.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations and requirements of division programs.
Develop and evaluate procedures, priorities and standards to achieve program objectives.
Coordinate and plan activities to implement program requirements.
