Job summary

The Nellie Mae Education Foundation in Quincy, MA seeks a Program Officer to design and implement grant programs, supporting a diverse portfolio of grantees and advancing racial equity in public education.

You will work across grantmaking and evaluation, bringing knowledge of K-12 education and equity, and collaborating with internal teams to advance youth-centered learning. Some travel and occasional evening/weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in teaching, education administration, non-profit program development, or grants management.
• Deep understanding of K-12 education and education trends and ability to partner with diverse stakeholders.
• Commitment to advancing racial equity in New England public education.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate, manage, and maintain grantee relationships and serve as the Foundation’s primary contact for external partners in their portfolios.
• Monitor youth voice and educator work across the New England region and stay current on education and equity topics.
• Provide technical assistance, problem solve, and evaluate outcomes with focus on empathy and creativity.
