Job summary

The Lemelson Foundation is seeking a Program Officer, Developing Country Entrepreneurship Initiative, to oversee and advance strategic work in invention-based enterprises that serve the poor at scale.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Strategy, you will help shape progress against the Foundation’s goals, participate in cross-functional teams, and contribute to grantmaking and program operations that support social impact and economic growth.

Qualifications

• A minimum of seven years of professional experience required, with five years in engineering, technology, science, invention, and/or entrepreneurship in an invention-based business.

Responsibilities

• Shape and oversee progress against the Foundation’s strategy for the Developing Country Entrepreneurship Initiative.
• Help with grantmaking and management processes across programs and teams.
• Collaborate with colleagues to advance social impact, economic growth, and environmental responsibility.
