Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in New London, CT seeks a Program Office Representative to support the COLUMBIA design completion. You will engage with design, planning, finance, contracts and operations to drive closure on design disclosures, reservations, test procedures, ILS development and component shock qualifications.

You will remove roadblocks, make programmatic decisions from technical facts, and socialize issues with Navy and EB executive staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with MS Office, including PowerPoint and advanced Excel skills.
• Project management and team leadership experience.
• Self-starter who can prioritize tasks and stay motivated.
• Strong verbal and written communication, interfacing with upper management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Engineering Directorates (Mechanical, Piping, Structures, Electrical, ILS) and facilitate weekly status meetings.
• Monitor material processes and identify gaps, driving issues to closure.
• Create and analyze program metrics; lead corrective actions.
• Prepare meetings to show progress, challenges, and plans.
• Prepare reports and presentations for Program Reviews.
• Serve as a point of contact for NAVSEA and EB senior management.
• Collaborate with engineering to drive technical and program objectives; de-conflict priorities and manage risk.
