Job summary

Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. is seeking a project/program manager to lead all phases of new product development from initiation to implementation.

You’ll work across engineering, supply chain, quality, and marketing to ensure on-time delivery and alignment with stakeholder objectives. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, 2+ years of experience, proficiency with MS Project and SAP, and PMP certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; MS Project; SAP knowledge preferred.
• PMP certification through PMI preferred.
• Strong negotiations, communication, organization, and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of new product development projects from initiation to implementation.
• Clearly define project scope and develop a plan including budget, schedule, and resources.
• Drive timely completion of project tasks across engineering, supply chain, quality, manufacturing, customer care, marketing, etc.
• Create and maintain reports to monitor and control project tasks, considering risk, budgets, and milestones.
• Present project status to executive leadership with clear communication of progress toward targets.
• Utilize a stage-gate process to guide activities and milestone signoffs.
• Leverage program management best practices and continuously improve processes for better planning and visibility.

Textron Specialized Vehicles markets products under several different brands. Its vehicles are found in environments ranging from golf courses to factories, airports to planned communities, and theme parks to hunting preserves.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all phases of new product development projects to meet stakeholder objectives at an accelerated pace including program initiation, planning, execution, and implementation.
• Collaboratively work to clearly define the project scope; develop the project plan to include the budget, schedule, and resource needs.
• Drive timely completion of all project team tasks to include engineering design and testing, supply chain management, quality and manufacturing, customer care, marketing, etc.
• Create and maintain reports to monitor and control all project tasks while considering risk assessments, performance to targets, budgets and program schedule.
• Report out project status to executive leadership in a clear, concise manner to communicate progress toward expected targets.
• Use defined stage gate process to guide all project activities and milestone signoffs.
• Leverage program management best practices and continuously improve processes to achieve better planning, visibility, performance, and effectiveness.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field required
Years of Experience: 2 or more years of experience in related field required
Software Knowledge: Microsoft office applications, strong skills in project management software such as MS Project, SAP knowledge preferred
