The salary range for this role is between $56,600 and $84,900, depending on experience, skills, and organizational needs.
Job Description
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Act as a steward for WGU’s mission and strategic vision.
- Demonstrate high commitment to student success through goal setting, outcomes, and documentation.
- Provide direct support, coaching, and guidance to assigned students.
- Maintain expertise in WGU programs through ongoing development.
- Foster student learning with innovative teaching and coaching practices.
- Respond promptly to student needs, communicating professionally and respectfully.
- Maintain a flexible, student-friendly schedule, including outside hours.
- Monitor student progress and proactively support students needing assistance.
- Utilize technology platforms to support student progress.
- Collaborate with university professionals to promote a positive, student-centered environment.
- Exhibit WGU Leadership Principles consistently.
- Stay informed within the assigned college area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented.
- Technological competency in data entry, email, calendar, and database programs.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal and written communication abilities.
Job Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters or higher degree with relevant licenses/certifications.
- At least 3 years of experience in student support, mentoring, coaching, or instruction.
- Experience working with diverse learner profiles.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with distance education students.
- Coaching certification (e.g., ICF ACC/PCC/MCC).
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting for extended periods at a desk, working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Primarily remote work within the continental US, with travel as needed.
Working Conditions:
Travel up to 25% as required.
