Overview

Job Summary: This position will lead the design, implementation, and continuous evolution of the Resource Hub, which is designed as a central, publicly accessible website that supports stakeholders across New England in accelerating heat pump adoption. The primary audience includes distributors, contractors, program implementers, and other supply chain stakeholders. This role is responsible for guiding the strategic direction of the Resource Hub, managing complex projects and partner relationships, and ensuring the delivery of an effective and easy-to-navigate website that contains high-quality data, tools, and educational resources. This position will serve as a key liaison to coalition states in New England, conveners, and internal stakeholders, and will coordinate with other hubs and work together with VEIC’s Creative & Digital team to ensure a cohesive and impactful approach.

Location: This is a remote position, and the ideal candidate will be located in Connecticut, Maine, Rhode Island, Vermont or Massachusetts.

Compensation: At VEIC, we are committed to pay transparency. The starting pay range for this position will be between $80,000-$90,000. Based on market data, pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and location. Please discuss your intended work location with the recruiter for more information. Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Program Implementation & Management
  • Lead day-to-day operations of the Resource Hub, ensuring timely execution of priorities and coordination across teams.
  • Oversee the delivery of Resource Hub team outputs, ensuring alignment with program goals and partner expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with internal Creative and Digital, IT teams, and cross-functional partners to ensure effective digital tools, data systems, and infrastructure.
  • Stakeholder & Partner Engagement
  • Engage with coalition states, conveners, low income communities, and advisory council participants to build trust and coordination.
  • Work with the Insights team to design and conduct feedback mechanisms (e.g., focus groups, surveys) to gather stakeholder input and drive continuous program refinement.
  • Integrate stakeholder insights into program operations and share lessons learned to support program scaling and improvement.
  • Build consensus with internal and external teams on project pathways to meet aggressive timelines.
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with key partners, including state-level collaborators, funders, and third-party organizations (e.g., NEEP).
  • Project Management
  • Coordinate and oversee multiple project workstreams, tracking milestones, deliverables, and deadlines to ensure accountability.
  • Data Analytics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Work with internal digital performance manager to gather and synthesize data, translating complex information into digestible insights for diverse audiences, including:
  • Website Analytics (GA4)
  • Advertising Performance Metrics
  • Email Newsletter Metrics
  • Regional mapping tools and trend analysis related to building decarbonization policies, housing stock, fuel sources, incentives, and energy costs
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual program updates for reporting to the client and advisory council.
  • Make recommendations on websites and content evolutions to align with an evolving market.
  • Resource Development & Dissemination
  • Work with SMEs to audit existing state resources to develop a content strategy map outlining core content for inclusion on the Resource Hub.
  • Develop project briefs for the development of net-new educational resources and tools.
  • Develop segmentation strategies for email newsletters and oversee content strategy and dissemination.
  • Work collaboratively with the Creative & Digital Project Management lead as well as developers, copywriters and designers to deliver highly effective communication solutions on time and within budget.
  • Ensure consistent and equitable access to high-quality resources through effective distribution channels.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Knowledge And Experience:

  • Strong personal commitment to the mission, vision, goals, culture, and values of VEIC.
  • Bachelor’s degree plus ten or more years of relevant professional experience, including managing communication projects and multi-faceted client relationships, or a similar combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills were acquired.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability in both leading, inspiring, and working within a team environment and supporting the needs of internal clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Experienced at effectively overseeing the strategy, client, and project management of complex, multi-faceted communications and digital development projects.
  • Experience working within, or closely with, marketing agencies to produce high-quality deliverables in alignment with strategic objectives and client expectations.
  • Excellent ability to manage teams and subcontractor resources and work effectively across an organization with a focus on meeting customer needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and implement marketing and communication strategies. Ability to think creatively in the development and delivery of marketing and communications services.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize and present data to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Experience working with state coalitions, advisory councils, or multi-stakeholder groups strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with clean energy, equity-centered program design, or nonprofit sector work is a plus.

Work Environment and Travel

Work Environment and Physical Requirements: This position primarily involves desk-based work with extensive collaboration and communication responsibilities. Physical requirements include:

  • Ability to remain stationary at a workstation for extended periods (typically 6-8 hours per day with regular breaks)
  • Regular use of computer, keyboard, mouse, and telephone/headset requiring fine motor skills and repetitive hand/wrist movements
  • Visual acuity to view digital screens, documents, and presentations for prolonged periods
  • Verbal communication abilities are sufficient for clear articulation during in-person and virtual meetings, presentations, and discussions
  • Auditory capabilities to participate effectively in conversations, conference calls, and virtual collaboration sessions
  • Cognitive focus for simultaneous management of multiple communication streams, projects, and stakeholder relationships
  • Occasional movement between meeting spaces, collaboration areas, and individual workstations
  • Minimal lifting requirements (typically under 15 pounds) for office supplies, equipment, or materials
