Job description

ID lavoro: 10524587 | Amazon.com Services LLC

The Program Manager will focus on tool capabilities to solve the problem of disconnected tool development and business needs by serving as the strategic bridge between the Space Capabilities business team and the Product Manager for Space at Whole Foods Market. This leader ensures that the tools we build are grounded in clear business requirements and customer needs rather than developed in isolation.

This PM owns the portfolio of space planning tools, including space allocation models, floor planning and planogram development solutions. By partnering closely with the Macro and Micro Space Planning & Development PMs to gather business context, this role translates planning needs into well-defined use cases for product development and manages tools through stabilization, evolution, and future-state development.

Key job responsibilities
  • Own the space tool portfolio across domains and functions
  • Serve as the dedicated bridge between business teams and product development, translating customer needs into clear product requirements
  • Partner with Macro and Micro Space Planning & Development Senior PMs to gather business context and inform tool priorities
  • Manage tools through their full lifecycle: stabilization, evolution, and future-state development
  • Drive tool adoption and performance metrics across internal customers
About the team

The Space Capabilities team is a program management organization that supports Merchants and Floor Planning & Merchandising Presentation in bringing their space strategies to life across Whole Foods Market's physical retail footprint. We do not own the build of every tool, but we own transforming our customers' needs into capabilities by bridging business requirements with product and process development. Organized around three lifecycle domains (Planning & Development, Tool Capabilities, and Execution Process Capabilities), our structure enables us to proactively translate strategy into actionable outcomes with deeper mastery and cleaner handoffs

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
