Description:

The Solid Rocket Motor Product Center Program Management Sr Manager (SRM PC Sr PM) is responsible for the direction and execution of the design, test, qualification and transfer to production of Lockheed Martin’s internally developed Solid Rocket Motors (SRMs) and core energetic capabilities.


What You Will Be Doing

The PM Sr Manager will collaborate with the selected Teaming business partner(s), internal LM missile Program(s) as well as the USG Customer to successfully complete AUR Qualification activities and Product Center objectives. The position directly reports to the Director of the SRM PC to provide programmatic performance, risk and opportunity assessments, as well as input regarding program recommendations and decisions. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Leading all related SRM activities to successfully execute the development, qualification, transition and cut-in to production.
  2. Oversight of diverse cross-functional teams comprised of engineering, test engineering, production operations, quality, product support, planning, finance, and supply chain to successfully drive the execution of program objectives. Additionally, serving as the primary POC with requisite teams such as BMIT, Prod Ops, and the USG Customer.
  3. Manage schedule, technical, and financial performance which includes IMS planning, manpower planning, defining Earned Value Milestones (EV-lite), and spend plans.
  4. Manage NBAE, Capital, OSCER, OH cycles and required inputs to secure funding.
  5. Risk and Opportunity management.
  6. Driving affordability initiatives to meet DTC and AUPC targets.
  7. Maintaining commonality objectives.
  8. Developing Rough Order of Magnitude (ROMs) to estimate scope.
  9. Oversight and participation with RFIs, RFPs, and white papers.

Further Information About This Opportunity:

This is a full-time telecommuter role with a preference for work location of Orlando, FL. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Solid Rocket Motor experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or other technical experience.
  • Previous Development Program Management execution experience, and direct management of others.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and presentation skills that support interaction with senior and executive leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to influence, challenge the status quo and build culture to support strategy.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% (potentially more if not based in Orlando, FL).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Desired Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or other technical experience with no less than 15 years of related experience.
  • Missiles system development experience.
  • Familiarization with Production Operations.
  • Experience with transitioning Development programs into Production.
  • Experience in orders capture, proposal development and negotiations, and contract baselining/start up.
  • Propulsion & Energetic Design and Manufacturing expertise a plus.
  • Familiarity with process for international business relationships.

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $173,900 - $301,415. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
