Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking a Program Manager with a strong engineering background to lead complex embedded systems programs in defense and space. This hands‑on leader will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and contracts to drive disciplined execution across cost, schedule, scope, risk, and customer commitments.

The role requires the ability to work in a fast‑paced, startup‑like environment, manage multiple hats, and deliver outcomes despite limited information.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer, aerospace, systems, mechanical engineering or related field.
• Engineering background with experience on embedded systems, avionics, hardware/software integration, or similar mission‑critical products.
• 3+ years in program management or related roles for complex technical programs.
• Experience supporting defense, space, or regulated technical environments.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams in fast-paced startup‑like environments.
• Strong understanding of scope, cost, schedule, and risk tradeoffs.
• Experience reviewing contracts and statements of work.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of embedded systems programs for defense and space customers.
• Own program performance across cost, schedule, technical scope, risk, quality, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with engineering to assess requirements, tradeoffs, and risks.
• Develop and maintain integrated program plans, schedules, risk registers, and executive status.
• Drive cross‑functional execution across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, contracts, and finance.
• Identify risks and blockers early; develop mitigation plans and close issues.
• Operate in ambiguity, bringing structure and urgency to execution.
• Lead recovery efforts for at-risk programs and return to stability.
• Support contracts, statements of work, milestones, and customer communications.
• Ensure compliance with prime contracts and export controls (DFARS/ITAR).
• Communicate status and recommendations to leadership and customers.
• Build strong customer relationships through disciplined execution.
• Foster accountability, urgency, and continuous improvement.
