Job summary

Google Washington DC in the United States is seeking a skilled program and risk management professional to lead risk assessments for content regulations. You will drive risk-by-design initiatives, coordinate with cross-functional partners across Google, and help mature risk processes to scale effectively.

US: $136000 - $196000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits. Effective communication and proactive leadership are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in program or project management.
• 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

• Design and implement a societal risk program; support execution and scaling of risk assessments across products and horizontal functions.
• Lead program management support across multiple regulations and product areas, developing clear tracking processes and communications materials for stakeholders.
• Operationalize risk processes by driving collaboration and alignment with a broad range of Google-wide partner teams.
• Contribute to risk assessment execution via team tracking and program management processes.
• Establish a leadership presence with a global mindset and a proven ability to influence and inspire across all levels of the organization; think holistically and act with attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and proactively identify strategic opportunities that address the goals of the team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and concise narratives and tailor communications to inform and influence different stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment.

In this role, you will be on the front line of our risk and compliance capability development and maturation, driving the risk by design culture. To be effective in this role, you must be adept at creative thinking, solving new problems and agile execution. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
