Qualifications

• At least 3 years of management experience, preferably including completing research projects and supervising research staff.
• Excellent analytical and written communication skills.
• Proficient in advanced Excel.
• Proven track record in business development.
• Experience leading seminars geared toward business owners, with proven track record of delivering high-quality oral presentations and experience with adult instructional methods.
• Must be comfortable operating in rural environments working with a rural client base.
• Preference to have private sector experience, including private sector exporting experience.
• Be able to work independently on tasks.
• A Bachelor’s degree in business or economics, Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be able to pass a Public Trust background investigation

Responsibilities

• Promote the services of the Rural Export Center to Rural Team members and external stakeholders.
• Train Market Research Analysts and Assistants per procedures and training documents.
• Oversee the quality of market research reports and ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain documentation of operations and WIP project tracking.
• Oversee maintenance of training materials to ensure onboarding consistency.
• Deliver research results in client meetings and reviews.
• Record interactions in CRM (Salesforce) and client folders.
• Coordinate weekly and monthly status meetings with contractors and REC Director.
• Evaluate new data tools and advise on usage and subscriptions.
• Monitor contract burn rate and provide weekly activity reports.
• Assist in hiring and managing performance of contractors and interns.
• Oversee administrative tasks like inventory tracking of government property.
• Coordinate exporter training classes and scheduling with stakeholders.
• Develop additional training content with subject matter experts.
• Follow up with clients within 90 days of project completion and capture outcomes.
• Maintain daily project logs for dashboards and reporting.
