Job description

Program Manager (RN) Maternal Services / Full-time

POSITION SUMMARY: Develops and leads nursing maternal/perinatal initiatives for the CHRISTUS location. The Program Manager works in conjunction with the Maternal Medical Director to oversee perinatal practice in the facility. The Program Manager also collaborates with regional clinical leaders (through the Regional Advisory Council - RAC) to develop and implement clinical strategies, policies, and practices across the Region, aligning them with the CHRISTUS Health System guided by High-Reliability Principles. The goal is to achieve nursing standardization, evidence-based practices, operational excellence, and optimal patient care. The role involves establishing strategies for service line initiatives, education, competency, physician collaboration, outcomes, and resource utilization to enhance service line growth, efficiency, compliance, safety, and patient experience.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
  • Certification/Licenses: R.N. with current New Mexico State license or compact license required. Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required

Skills:

  • Basic computer skills in word processing and spreadsheets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in computer use (desktop and/or laptop)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team collaboration
  • Flexibility to adapt to workload and schedule changes

Experience: Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in perinatal nursing required. Experience leading unit/facility initiatives preferred.

Supervision:

Responsible to: Chief Nursing Executive

Environment:

  • Bloodborne pathogen: B – if involved in clinical contact
  • Works in a clean, well-lit, smoke-free environment
  • Ability to travel to multiple sites as needed
