Job description

Block is one company built from many blocks, all united by the same purpose of economic empowerment. The blocks that form our foundational teams — People, Finance, Counsel, Hardware, Information Security, Platform Infrastructure Engineering, and more — provide support and guidance at the corporate level. They work across business groups and around the globe, spanning time zones and disciplines to develop inclusive People policies, forecast finances, give legal counsel, safeguard systems, nurture new initiatives, and more. Every challenge creates possibilities, and we need different perspectives to see them all. Bring yours to Block.

The Role

As a Program Manager in Risk & Regulatory, you’ll drive the integration of risk management into strategic decision-making, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and business goals. You’ll collaborate with regional Chief Risk Officers (CROs) and enterprise-wide partners to harmonize risk practices, strengthen issue management governance, and enhance risk processes for efficiency and impact. This role is an opportunity to shape risk oversight for the organization.

We are open to hiring this role remotely anywhere in the US.

You Will
  • Partner with CROs and key partners to align risk management strategies with business priorities.
  • Support functional and risk domain risk assessments across the enterprise, implementing process improvements to improve risk oversight and eliminate silos.
  • Help develop Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) across functional areas to enhance risk monitoring, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk frameworks and data-driven decision-making.
  • Manage structured governance for the Issue Management program, ensuring regulatory compliance, risk resolution, and alignment with GRC reporting needs.
  • Engage with the GRC tool support team to enhance the Issue Management module by gathering user feedback and driving improvements that support program maturity.
  • Support strategic programs that enhance enterprise-wide risk management effectiveness.
  • Develop user-friendly guidance and training materials to empower teams in risk management best practices.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and emerging risks, adjusting strategies as priorities shift.
You Have
  • 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, or Risk Governance.
  • Experience with risk regulations and enterprise risk frameworks.
  • Experience working with CRO teams, regulatory bodies, and enterprise risk functions.
  • Experience leading cross-functional risk initiatives and collaborating across teams.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to integrate risk processes with our goals.
Even Better:

Experience developing AI-driven solutions to enhance risk management processes and efficiency.
