Revel IT seeks a seasoned Program Manager contractor to lead a portfolio of store experience projects in a large-scale retail digital environment. The role requires independence, stakeholder management, and data-driven decision making.

The ideal candidate has extensive program management experience in retail technology, demonstrated leadership, and the ability to collaborate across product, engineering, marketing and business development teams in fast-paced settings.

Qualifications

• Retail experience.
• 7+ years of program management in Retail Technology, partnering with Product Managers, Engineering, Analysts, DataScience, HR, and Store Ops.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with data-driven storytelling for diverse audiences from team members to C-level executives.
• Strong leadership; able to influence without authority.
• Experience interfacing with external customers, partners and vendors to lead delivery.
• Proficient in Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban or SAFe for ongoing delivery.
• Experience with Jira and Aha! is a plus.

Looking for a strong store retail Program Managercontractor to take on a collection of projects spanning several store experiences. Must be good with multitasking and senior enough to operate independently with little oversight or training on “how to manage a project and stakeholders.”

The Program Manager role is essential to delivering critical business-impacting, and transformational programs. The Program Manager should have a proven track record of delivering world-class products within complex digital environments, concentrating on retail store role structures. Our ideal candidate will bring a broad range of program and agile experience working within large-scale organizations with specific knowledge of digital technologies and processes at scale.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, architecture, and external stakeholders to define success criteria and business impact through data-driven insights.
• Leverage this understanding when prioritizing work to ensure delivery of the highest-priority initiatives.
• Ensure comprehensive project planning, including detailed budgets, milestones, deliverables, resource allocation, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies, whileremaining flexible to adapt plans based on evolving business needs and real-time data.
• Provide a consistent model and clear expectations for budget management from initial forecasting to tracking actuals, and proactively identify and address any deviationsfrom the plan.
• Inspire and lead cross-functional teams through evolving project challenges—including scope, schedule, and cost changes—by fostering clear communication, continuousalignment, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Develop and execute proactive, actionable risk management plans, ensuring earlyidentification of risks and collaborative resolution to drive successful outcomes withminimal disruption.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and partnership across cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and executives, enabling accelerated development and value delivery.
• Promote open, honest communication to identify challenges and co-create impactful solutions that drive consumer value.
• Identify and engage key stakeholders to ensure their voice is integrated into program decision-making, fostering alignment across departments and maximizing the impact ofeach initiative.
• Lead teams through ambiguity and complex challenges with clarity, resilience, and a focus on innovative solutions. Apply principled decision-making frameworks withconsistency and rigor to drive success in dynamic environments.
• Develop standard reporting and metrics to provide real-time visibility into the project as well as team health.
• Leverage agile best practices within Product Management, Engineering, Marketing and Business Development to optimize cross-team and cross-organizational collaborationand communication.

Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Retail experience
• Minimum 7 years of program management experience preferably in the Retail Technology space – partnering with Product Managers, Engineering, Analysts, DataScience, Human Resources, and Store Operations.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with demonstrated experience influencing and engaging diverse audiences, from team members to C-level executives,using data-driven storytelling.
• Strong leadership skills; able to successfully influence without authority.
• Experience interfacing with external customers, partners and vendors to lead project delivery.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies, including hands-on experience with Scrum, Kanban,or scaled frameworks, like SAFe, to drive continuous delivery in a dynamic environment.
• Experience with Jira and Aha! a plus.
