The Program Manager will fill the role of Release Train Engineer (RTE) for the Software Infrastructure Team. Software Infrastructure is focused on delivering the tools and capabilities our development teams need to deliver new business functionality by the Information Services department. The tools we provide are a critical technology enabler that ensures our company continues to be the recognized industry leader in global logistics.

The RTE is responsible for facilitating team events and processes, assisting teams in delivering value, communicating with stakeholders, escalating and removing impediments, helping manage risk, and driving continuous improvement. The RTE will report to the Software Infrastructure Senior Manager and work directly with the Product Manager, Product Owners, Architects, Team Managers, and various stakeholders across the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate and coach the team through processes and execution to deliver value
  • Partner with the Product Manager and Architects to maintain clarity and purpose for the team's vision, strategy, and goals
  • Facilitate team events including PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, ART Sync, System Demos, and Retrospectives
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve issues or risks to execution and delivery
  • Support the creation and evolution of the Software Infrastructure roadmap in coordination with the Product Manager and Architects
  • Understand high-level technical design and requirements to support execution
  • Influence and participate in agile release scoping
  • Partner with Product Management and Architects on release planning
  • Develop and publish metrics to track progress and success
  • Lead and coach teams in adapting to changes and challenges through relentless improvement

This position is on-site in the greater Seattle, WA area, with locations including Downtown Seattle, Lynnwood, or Bellevue (Factoria). Candidates must be local or willing to relocate; relocation assistance is not provided.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of Project or Program Management experience or Scrum Master/RTE
  • Passion for leading, inspiring, facilitating, and communicating
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Lean/Agile, and SAFe principles
  • Assertive personality with interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Change-driven and execution-oriented - "Practical Idealist"
  • Experience leading large, complex teams
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and coordinate across large groups
  • Coaching and mentoring skills
  • Exceptional organizational and follow-through skills
  • Excellent communication skills for broad audiences

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Background in Software Development, Systems Administration, or similar engineering roles
  • SAFe Certifications (Leading SAFe, Product Owner, Scrum Master, RTE, etc.)
  • Four-year degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps or similar tools

Expected base salary: $100,000 to $165,000
