Qualifications

  • Knowledge of methods of organization and management; public administration; agency policies and procedures; grant or contract program requirements; legislative process; basic research and statistical techniques; federal and state laws for administration of programs.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; communicate effectively in writing and speech; develop training programs; exercise good judgment; organize and present facts.
  • Education and Experience: a bachelor's degree and one year of professional/technical administrative experience in business or public administration; or an equivalent combination.
  • Special Requirements: some positions require travel.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes and/or directs a component of an agency or program to accomplish a goal.
  • Interprets and advises on departmental rules, regulations and laws for staff and public.
  • Prepares administrative, statistical and/or fiscal documents.
  • Supervises assigned staff in planning, promoting, and implementing programs.
  • Advises on resource requirements and develops policies and regulations consistent with laws.
