Job summary

The Decolonizing Wealth Project in New York seeks a Program Manager to work closely with the Founder to cultivate and support effective programming that advances the organization's mission in the movement for philanthropic justice.

You will lead program administration, manage partnerships, donor engagement, travel as needed, and help elevate DWP’s impact through reporting, storytelling, and training initiatives.

Qualifications

• Significant work experience (5+ years) and credibility as a leader in regards to philanthropy, donor engagement, and working in communities of color.
• Experience working in coalition(s), including developing shared plans, coordinating external and internal communications, and understanding internal political dynamics among partner groups.
• Demonstrated success in the area of project management, organizing and/or partnership development.
• Fundraising experience and demonstrated knowledge of the philanthropic sector; a deep network in philanthropy and understanding of policy to inform changemaking opportunities.
• Excellent analytic, writing, and strategic planning skills, with ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop work plans with goals, timelines and clear deliverables for various programs.
• Ensure projects remain on time and on budget.
• Prepare and present progress reports and ensure the project advances organizational goals.
• Manage day-to-day partnerships with stakeholders, including grassroots organizations, donors, and consultants.
• Support network building efforts and collaborator communications to elevate impact.
• Oversee donor engagement activities including writing proposals, donor updates, and reporting.
