Job summary

Ramboll seeks a Program Manager for Mission Critical Commissioning to lead and oversee data center projects across the Americas. The role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams, developing on-site escalation processes, and ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.

You will work with clients to drive commissioning and testing of critical electrical and mechanical systems, and contribute to business development efforts while traveling up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent; PMP or military/industrial training preferred.
  • Experience in commissioning or maintaining critical electrical/ mechanical systems.
  • Strong project management background for engineering projects and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and monitor projects and programs.
  • Create tactical plans and monitor/report progress.
  • Lead client-facing escalation processes on-site.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and communicate objectives clearly.
  • Develop roadmaps connecting projects to a program across sites.
  • Assess program performance and outcomes.
  • Represent project teams at routine technical meetings.
  • Manage budget vs. completion and staff changes with Site Leads.

Ramboll's Data Center Facilities team (formerly EYP Mission Critical Facilities) is a pioneer and leader in Data Center Strategy, Planning, Design, Integration, Commissioning and Testing with experience working in thousands of data centers in the U.S. and across the globe. We provide a broad set of services for enterprise, institutional, web scale, service provider and colocation companies.

We are flexible on location throughout the US and the expected travel for this role is about 50%. Travel varies from 2 days to 2 weeks at a time but rarely exceeds 2 weeks per month.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Planning, organizing, and monitoring projects and programs
  • Creating tactical plans and monitoringand reporting on progress
  • Working directly with the client to determine the on-site escalation process
  • Managing cross-functional and interdisciplinary teams, communicating objectives and direction clearly
  • Developing a roadmap to connect projects to a Program (multi-project campus or site)
  • Assessing program performance
  • Representing project team at routine technical meetings
  • Assessing project completion vs budget and coordinatingstaff adjustments and change orders withSite Leads and Project Managers
  • Preparing reports for Delivery Managers and Project Managers
  • Supporting senior management with business development activities

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, PMP or equivalent military or industrial training with 7+ years of experience inelectrical/mechanical/controls engineering, energy services, plantoperations, or related field or construction management
  • Experience in the commissioning or maintaining of critical electrical and mechanical systems
  • Project management background for engineering projects
  • Experience working with general contractor and excellent skills in communicating expectations
  • Knowledgeable in major regulations, industry codes and standards as well as basic construction materials, means and methods
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project or equivalent
  • Qualified to obtain PMP or equivalent
  • Qualified to obtain Cx certifications

At Ramboll, we are committed to fair and transparent compensation practices that support our people and our purpose of creating sustainable societies. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $200,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and internal equity. Because we operate across multiple U.S. markets, pay may differ depending on the cost of labor in specific locations. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for bonus, overtime or other forms of compensation and we offer a comprehensive benefits package that supports well-being, professional development, and work-life balance.
