Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Marketing Project Manager to develop and manage intake processes and workflows that support successful marketing campaigns and initiatives.

You will lead project planning, facilitate meetings, monitor timelines, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver on schedule while aligning with business priorities. This role offers opportunities to mentor staff as the team grows and to build the marketing PM function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience, including at least 5 years leading marketing projects.
• Strong PM and organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience with Agile practices in marketing projects.
• Experience using PM platforms like Asana, Monday.com, Wrike, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve project management processes, standards, templates, and best practices for the marketing team.
• Manage intake, prioritization, and planning of marketing requests and projects.
• Lead complex cross-functional marketing projects from planning to execution.
• Build plans, schedules, and resource assignments to support execution.
• Coordinate work across Communications, Creative, Operations, and business teams.
• Facilitate project kickoff meetings, status meetings, and regular check-ins.
• Monitor schedules, dependencies, risks, and resources; address delivery issues.
• Manage reviews, approvals, and stakeholder communications.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows and delivery.
• Support the team's use of PM tools and Agile practices.
• Help mentor project coordinators as the team grows.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience, including at least 5 years managing marketing projects, campaigns, or cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, balance competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Experience managing project intake with a strong focus on prioritization, balancing competing demands, and aligning stakeholder expectations across cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in an Agile environment and applying Agile principles to marketing projects.
• Strong communicationand interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Experience using project management platforms such as Asana, Monday.com, Wrike, or similar tools.
• Proven ability toidentifyprocess improvements and implement more efficient ways of working.
• Agency project management experience is strongly preferred.

Pay:

Final pay is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For Virginia this ranges from $120,000.00 - $145,000.00plus annual incentive, benefits, and retirement program as outlined above.
