About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a Program Manager, you will help expand and enhance our global supply and demand planning operations. This role sits within Google’s Consumer Hardware team and is responsible for supply and demand planning activities and long-term Pixel programs. You will be managing key internal/external stakeholders as they oversee supply chain operations for Google’s hardware business. You will help define our NPI strategy (i.e., launch, portfolio, assortment, and cost) and needs to heavily influence the business in defining the Plan of Record (POR).

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities
  • Develop short and long range supply and demand models that seek to minimize total costs and inventories while maintaining excellent service levels to partners and customers worldwide.
  • Present Supply and Demand recommendations to leadership, drive timely decisions, and ensure clear and concise communication to all stakeholders in the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with Demand Planning, Sales Operations, and Product Management teams to comprehend and influence demand assumptions, scenarios, inputs and adjustments to consensus forecasts.
  • Drive product success by keeping ourselves and others accountable for metrics such as inventory, Excess and Obsolescence (E&O), material spend, sales in and sales through, freight in, COGS, and gross margins.
  • Drive product strategy via analytics, proposing optimal launch dates, capacity investments, SKU and feature portfolio, cost-reduction opportunities, and supply strategies to maximize supply chain flexibility and maximize business generation.
