Job summary

Centene Corp. is seeking a Program Manager III to lead the SSBCI program remotely, coordinating across business operations, data, technology, vendors, compliance, enrollment, and member experience.

The role emphasizes end-to-end program management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of program management experience in healthcare or managed care, with PMP or PgMP preferred and a strong ability to drive efficiency while maintaining regulatory

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
  • 5+ years in project or program management.
  • Experience with managed care or prescription benefit management preferred.
  • PMP or PgMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end SSBCI program across business operations, data, technology, vendors, compliance, customer service, enrollment, and member experience.
  • Create structure, manage dependencies, clarify requirements, owners, dates, decisions, and next steps, identify gaps and risks, separate immediate safeguards from long-term solutions, drive issues to closure, and provide concise updates on progress, risks, decisions, and member impact.
  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, improve service levels and ensure regulatory compliance through enhanced operations.
  • Develop strategies to realize improvement opportunities, and ensure organizational prioritization and resource alignment.
  • Manage multiple projects through full project life cycle process including requirements gathering, creation of project plans and schedules, obtaining and managing resources, managing budget, and facilitating project execution, deployment and closure.
  • Utilize corporate and industry standard project management tools and techniques to effectively manage projects.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation including action items, issues lists and risk mitigation plans.
  • Provide leadership and effectively communicate project status to all stakeholders, including executive summaries and presentations.
  • Negotiate with project stakeholders to identify and secure resources, resolve issues, and mitigate risks.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings with various functional areas to meet overall stakeholder expectations and company’s objectives.
