Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Program Manager to support the North American Surface Transportation (NAST ACES) network. This role will identify network-level opportunities, drive end-to-end projects through cross-functional teams, and focus on improving efficiencies and eliminating defects across programs within a rapidly growing area.

The PM will partner with Operations, ACES, Finance, and Technology stakeholders while influencing senior leaders. Travel up to 50% domestically is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3+ years of program or project management experience.
  • 3+ years defining and implementing data-driven process improvements.
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and govern KPIs for the portfolio of programs, providing visibility to milestones and performance.
  • Manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring communication, organization, and problem solving.
  • Gather and analyze data across functions to establish standards for status reporting and tracking.
  • Support a fast-paced environment that deploys multiple projects, programs, and initiatives.
  • Lead in the process to develop, adjust, improve, and implement standard work and technology at the network level.
  • Travel domestically up to 50%.

The North American Surface Transportation (NAST) ACES team is seeking to hire a Program Manager to support the Amazon Transportation network. The person in this role will identify network-level opportunities and drive projects end-to-end through cross functional teams, with a focus on improving efficiencies and eliminating defects. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team in a rapidly growing area within Amazon.

This PM will partner with Operations, ACES, Finance, and Technology stakeholders, while working independently to influence stakeholders. They will work across leadership, exercising sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist.

Key job responsibilities
  • Develop, implement and govern key performance indicators (KPI) for the portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones and performance across all projects
  • Manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization/time management and problem solving skills
  • Gather and analyze data across business functions to establish standards for project management status reporting and tracking
  • Support a fast paced environment that deploys multiple projects, programs, and initiatives simultaneously
  • Lead in the process to develop, adjust, improve, and implement standard work and technology at the network level
  • Travel domestically up to 50%
A day in the life

NAST ACES PMs collaborate with stakeholders, analyze network performance, identify project /tech/process opportunities and drive holistic performance improvement. These PMs must be comfortable working in ambiguous environments to drive performance improvement from program and operations teams.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
  • 3+ years of developing program strategies and plans, diving execution, and influencing senior stakeholders experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
