Base pay range

$143,487.00/yr - $197,294.00/yr

We are seeking a Program Manager with a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Management, Engineering or a related field for our Long Range Effects (LRE) product line and associated programs. We are looking for passionate, forward-thinking individuals who are eager to make tangible impacts. You will be responsible for managing program cost, schedule, technical, and risk of direct programs and proposals. Our Long Range Effects group represents an enterprise strategic priority in the area of airborne weapon systems and is quickly establishing itself as a market leader. The group focuses on development and production of long range airborne effects meeting the emerging force mass gap in current DoD capability.

As a Program Manager, you will be using both your program management and technical skills to supervise the work of program and project staff and be responsible for tasks from customer interaction through Program integration management. You will perform task coordination, resource development, stakeholder identification, scope management, schedule understanding, financial acumen, risk and opportunity management, and leadership.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations – with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • As the Program Manager you will be responsible for program cost, schedule, technical, and risk
  • You will represent SNC at Customer meetings and be the primary point of contact for the Customer
  • Customer focus is paramount and your responsiveness to customer actions and inquires will take the highest priority
  • A solid foundation in Government contractual requirements related to program execution, cost, requirements, and schedule is desired.
  • You will be required to collaborate with the SNC contracts and Government contracts representatives
  • You will manage cross functional teams and ensure the program is adequately resourced to ensure program success
  • You will analyze program metrics and indicators to identify issues and formulate mitigation strategies.
  • You will work with the Program Director and Chief Engineer to develop and maintain the Product Line strategic road map and maintain healthy executing programs.
  • You will ensure the program and team are compliant to SNC policies and procedures

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Management, Engineering or related field
  • Typically 8+ years of progressive experience in project or program management
  • Typically 3+ years leading medium scale project scope spanning 1-2 years, while leading teams made up of 5+ cross functional team members
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification or Advanced degree in Business, Management, Engineering or related field
  • Experience with the evaluation of requests for proposals and/or quotes. Experience with preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals and/or quotes.
  • Experience with managing a complex project.
  • Experience in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, strategic thinking, marketing, and literacy in the program management disciplines.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen to ensure decisions are fiscally sound and responsible.
  • Requires ability to execute coordination of all elements of a program, i.e., Program Integration Management: perform task coordination, resource development, stakeholder identification, etc.
  • Capability to manage program lifecycle conflicts, prioritize competing priorities/requests, and evaluate available resources.
  • Requires ability to identify, assess, and control financial, technical, and legal risks.
  • Proficient leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews
  • Requires ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire your team, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive for success, challenge status quo, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to dynamic situations
  • An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Advanced degree in Business, Management, Engineering or related field
  • Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS)
  • Technical experience with advanced concept design of unmanned vehicles or weapon systems
  • Managing projects using Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), agile and or spiral development models
  • Managing projects requiring Earned Value Management
  • Understanding with application tools and data architectures
  • Ability to reinforce the usage & application of Corporate PM tools.
  • Ability to keep program management informed of function & process changes within project controls.
  • Ability to enhance program management expertise in the staff
  • Experience with ensuring compliance with approved Corporate and ISO 9001:2000 Policies and Processes

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $143,487.14 - $197,294.82. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

This position requires current/active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.
